Sustainable Tourism Conference – Jeddah

Sustainable Tourism Conference – Jeddah

Jeddah hosted the Sustainable Tourism Conference from November 21 to 23, 2025, gathering government entities, travel companies, environmental experts, and destination managers. The conference highlighted strategies for balancing tourism development with the protection of natural ecosystems—particularly marine environments.

Sessions addressed major environmental challenges facing coastal destinations, including coral-reef protection, waste management, and regulation of recreational water activities. Innovative solutions for reducing plastic waste in tourism hotspots were also presented.

A delegation from Nawaat Al Arabia attended the conference to explore sustainability practices applicable to large events and exhibitions. The company emphasized that the shift toward “green tourism” will significantly influence the events sector, requiring improved resource management and eco-friendly operational methods.
